About the Curriculum Coach Position
As we work with our partner schools in TeachBeyond, we have realized the need to provide intentional support in a variety of areas. To do so, we need those willing to come alongside our members and partner school staff in a coaching role to help them in the process of providing a quality education and the opportunity for transformation.
Our goal in assisting with curriculum is to encourage the development of a curriculum that integrates effective pedagogy with a Christian worldview and fulfills the requirements for accreditation through an institute such as the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
We are looking for associates to serve as curriculum coaches for these schools. Coaches would need experience in curriculum development and having coursework in this field along with a good understanding of ACSI accreditation regarding curriculum is highly beneficial. In addition, an understanding of country-specific curricula is a plus when providing assistance to schools. Coaches communicate with administrators, teachers and staff regarding curriculum needs and aid in preparing curriculum documents that include effective pedagogy and a Christian worldview. In addition, coaches provide counsel as needed regarding the implementation of the curriculum.
Much of the work of a curriculum coach can be done from home, but travel may also be expected. All expenses are usually paid from the member’s personal support raising account, but occasionally another funding source covers some expenses.
Position Start Date 07-20-2016
About TeachBeyond Associates
What does it mean to be an Associate?
Associate members are individuals who feel called to partner with TeachBeyond on a part-time or occasional basis, raising support to fund their service. They are willing to help meet needs within TeachBeyond or partner schools based on their available time and resources.
Some of those part-time or occasional needs include consulting with educators or schools, providing administrative assistance for various departments, or teaching at one of our partner schools for a few weeks to a semester. We also need individuals willing to serve in English camps throughout the summer. Associates come alongside to give of their time and talents to help meet these needs and further the Lord’s work through TeachBeyond.
